Ingredients:
- 6 tbsp granulated honey
- 4 tsp smoked paprika
- 4 tsp chili powder
- 4 tsp granulated garlic
- 4 tsp onion powder
- 4 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp dry mustard
- 6 lbs bacon slab, cut into ½-inch by 3-inch pieces (approx. 36 pieces)
- 1 ½ cups clover honey
- ¾ cup bacon seasoning
- ¾ cup bourbon
Directions:
- Prepare the Seasoning and Marinade:
Combine granulated honey, smoked paprika, chili powder, garlic, onion powder, ground cumin, and dry mustard to make the bacon seasoning. - Marinate the Bacon:
In a bowl, toss bacon pieces with clover honey, half the bacon seasoning, and bourbon until thoroughly coated. Transfer to a resealable plastic bag and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for maximum flavor. - Preheat the Oven:
Preheat the oven to 375°F. Line a half-sheet pan with foil and place a rack on top. - Bake the Bacon:
Remove bacon pieces from the marinade, reserving any remaining liquid. Arrange the pieces on the prepared rack and sprinkle with the remaining bacon seasoning. Bake for 35–45 minutes, turning halfway, until tender and crispy.
Serving Suggestion:
Serve these mouthwatering bites warm, and drizzle with reserved marinade or extra honey for added sweetness. Enjoy with your favorite bourbon cocktail or an ice-cold beer!
