Soothe throats and boost wellness with this simple and natural Lemon Ginger Honey Syrup. Perfect for all ages (above 1 year old), this versatile remedy combines the zesty freshness of lemon, the warmth of ginger, and the natural sweetness of honey.

Ingredients:

  • Zest of 2 lemons (approx. 1 ½ tbsp)
  • ¼ cup fresh ginger, peeled and sliced (or ½ tsp ground ginger)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup honey
  • ½ cup fresh lemon juice

Directions:

  1. Prepare the Base:
In a small saucepan, combine lemon zest, sliced ginger, and water. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce to a simmer for 5 minutes. Strain into a heat-proof measuring cup, discarding the solids.
  2. Warm the Honey:
Rinse the saucepan and add the honey. Heat on low, ensuring it does not boil.
  3. Combine Ingredients:
Slowly add the strained lemon ginger water and fresh lemon juice to the warmed honey. Stir gently until fully combined into a smooth, thick syrup.
  4. Store and Use:
Pour the syrup into a clean, airtight jar and refrigerate for up to 2 months.
